Peace in the ParkThe 4th annual Peace Day celebration is this Saturday.
Runs Through: September 22, 2012 Time: 11:00 AM — 3:00 PM Location: Salisbury City Park - Near Ben’s Red Swings The Celebration is held in conjunction with the United Nations International Day of Peace. Many different faith & civic groups have been invited to participate in a local celebration. All are invited to join in the celebration, bring a picnic, meet new and old neighbors, enjoy the peace related activities and live music, drum circles and peace walk. The participating coalition of groups include Asbury UMC, Baha'i Faith, Center for Conflict Resolution,Peace Alliance of the Lower Shore, The National Peace Alliance,Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Salisbury, Wicomico River Friends Meeting, Habitat for Humanity of Salisbury, Mayors for Peace/Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation,Maryland Veterans for Peace, Wesley Temple UMC, Healthy U, Camp Odyssey, St Alban's Episcopal, the Salisbury Buddhist Community, St. Peters Episcopal, Episcopal Peace Fellowship, Salisbury Urban Ministry,and more. |
